Tape-Seal Stops Paint Bleed, New Product Achieves Perfect Paint Lines

With Tape-Seal the average do it yourselfer can achieve professional paint results.

Chandler, AZ March 29, 2008 — Tape-Seal, by Greystone Design Inc., is a uniquely formulated clear acrylic gel that is designed to seal the edge of painters masking tape by filing the small voids at the tapes edge. This creates a barrier that stops paint from bleeding under the tape leaving a clean, sharp paint line once the tape is removed. Tape-Seal is sold in 8 oz. and 16 oz. jars. The coverage is approximately 1200 linear feet and 2400 linear feet, respectively. That translates to approximately 6 and 12 rolls of painters masking tape.

John and Tammy Richardson, of Chandler, AZ are the inventors of Tape-Seal. John is an artist and has been a contract painter since 2002 while Tammy has been a Realtor in the Phoenix metro area since 2001. One of the biggest challenges DIY’ers and professional painters face is to achieve straight paint lines with no bleeding under the painters tape. “One of the most frequent comments from home owners was their frustration on painting their own home because of the bleeding of paint under the tape,” says John. “Together, Tammy and I realized we could fill a gap in the market place with a product that could make peoples lives easier,” he continued.

Ben Merkley, of Phoenix says “I used Tape-Seal in our nursery. Finally there is a way for the weekend warrior to get a professional paint job without hiring a professional. Tape-Seal made it easy to get great results, fast and easy.” Phil from Phil Ponce Painting says “I use Tape-Seal on all of my jobs. Before I started using this product, fixing the paint lines with an artist brush was time consuming and I am so glad to have found something that makes life easier and pleases my clients.”

Tape-Seal is currently for sale on the internet at www.PerfectPaintLines.com. John and Tammy will be exhibiting this new product at the 2008 National Hardware Show in Las Vegas, NV May 6th – May 8th. “We are looking forward to selling to retailers who will carry Tape-Seal in their stores. We are excited about the opportunities such a large trade show will bring our way,” says Tammy.

Not only will Tape-Seal have a 10 x 10 booth in the Paint section but will also be displayed in the New Product World section of the trade show. Greystone Design, Inc. has two additional patents pending for the painting industry.
